Israeli soldiers wound 69 protesters in Gaza

Gaza (QNN)- Dozens of Palestinian peaceful protesters were wounded by Israeli live and rubber-coated metal bullets in addition to poisonous tear gas during Israeli repression of the weekly Great Return Mach protests in Gaza on Friday.

The Ministry of Health said that its medical teams dealt with 69 injures, including 26 by live bullets, during Israeli repression of the weekly protests on Gaza’s eastern borders.

In eastern Khan Younes, three Palestinians were shot by rubber-coated metal bullets, including one in the head while other protesters were suffocated by tear gas.

Meanwhile, in Awda refugee camp in eastern Gaza strip four Palestinians were reportedly wounded, two with live bullets and two others with rubber-coated metal bullets, during the Israeli attack on protesters.

Thousands of Palestinians flocked from all areas of the strip to the separation barrier to take part in the 79th week of the Great Return March protests under the title “No to normalization”.

Gaza’s protests started in March 30, 2018 to demand of the refugees’ right to go back to their homes and end the siege on Gaza.

Israeli soldiers, stationed in military towers behind the separation barrier, killed 314 protesters and wounded over 18,000 others so far.
