Israeli Soldiers Vandalize Gaza Homes With Islamophobic Graffiti

Gaza (Quds News Network)- Israeli soldiers defaced the walls of destroyed Palestinian homes in Gaza with Islamophobic graffiti targeting the Prophet Muhammad, Anadolu Agency reported. The messages, written in Hebrew, appeared during Israel’s 15-month assault on Gaza.

Among the phrases found were “Muhammad is dead” and “The people of Israel live,” reflecting religious and nationalist sentiments. Palestinian residents returning to their homes expressed shock at the hateful and racist messages left behind by Israeli troops.

This is not the first time Israeli soldiers have vandalized Palestinian property. Witnesses reported similar graffiti on destroyed buildings before Israeli forces withdrew from Gaza last year. In February 2024, a witness told Anadolu that soldiers had written phrases such as “Gaza Cemetery” and “Memory of Destruction” on the ruins.

For over 15 months, Israel has targeted Palestinian worshippers, bombing mosques and churches. These attacks have killed and injured dozens. According to Gaza’s Government Media Office, Israel has completely destroyed 823 mosques and partially damaged 158 others. The bombing also demolished three churches.

The widespread destruction and desecration of religious sites highlight Israel’s systematic violations against both Islamic and Christian places of worship in Palestine.
