Israeli soldiers raid, vandalize exchange shops, injure five civilians during a raid in Jenin

Jenin (Quds News Network) – In the early hours of Thursday, five Palestinian civilians were injured as an Israeli drone targeted a group of individuals in the eastern neighborhood of Jenin city in the north of the West Bank.

The Palestinian Red Crescent reported that four citizens sustained injuries from rocket shrapnel fired by an Israeli drone in Jenin, while a fifth person was injured in the face.

Israeli forces had earlier stormed the city, leading to confrontations and ensuing gunfire. Local sources confirmed the incursion, with military vehicles advancing towards Batikha Square and the Cinema Roundabout in the city, triggering intense confrontations during which Israeli forces fired heavily at locals.

The occupation forces also raided the Arab Bank and the Al-Quds Bank in Jenin, along with several currency exchange shops, seizing their contents– with large amounts of cash stolen–including the Al-Khaleej Exchange and Fakhr al-Diín Exchange Company.

Furthermore, the forces invaded the nearby villages and towns of Sanur, Jaba, Al-Zawiyah, Anzah, Bier al-Basha, and Qabatiya, conducting extensive house-to-house searches.

Israeli occupation forces also targeted a major power transformer in the city, causing a power outage in large areas of the city.

Gunfire was reported in Wadi Burqin neighborhood on the outskirts of Jenin refugee camp following similar raid by Israeli forces and ensuing confrontations with citizens, though no injuries were reported at the time of this news.

Simultaneously, Israeli forces stormed several buildings in Jenin, positioning snipers on their rooftops. The situation remains tense as the city grapples with the aftermath of the Israeli incursion.
