Israeli Soldiers Hid in Sewage Drain During Hezbollah Strike, Israeli Reporter Reveals

Occupied Palestine (Quds News Network)- An Israeli journalist has exposed an image showing Israeli soldiers hiding in a sewage drain during a rocket strike launched by Hezbollah from Lebanon. Halil Beiton, a correspondent for Israel’s Channel 14, reported that the soldiers sought refuge in the drainage system when air raid sirens sounded.

According to Beiton, the targeted military base has no protected spaces or bunkers, shedding light on additional details that Hezbollah seems to have taken into account when selecting the target of its strike to cause the highest number of casualties among the soldiers.

Commanders at the base expressed frustration and concern, reportedly asking, “Is the Chief of Staff waiting for another disaster? We are completely exposed and powerless,” reflecting the growing fear among Israeli troops stationed near the northern border with Lebanon.

This incident follows a deadly surprise drone strike on Sunday that targeted the Golani Brigade training camp, located in a settlers’ area in occupied Haifa. The strike resulted in the deaths of four Israeli soldiers and left 67 others injured, with eight of them in critical condition. Israeli Army Radio described the strike as the deadliest assault on the military since the ongoing conflict began.

Israeli media reported that the drone fired a missile at the training camp, which struck the dining hall where soldiers were eating. The incident has raised serious concerns about the vulnerability of Israeli military installations and the effectiveness of defensive measures amid escalating tensions with Hezbollah.
