Israeli soldier posts photo with Gaza child, sparking concerns about her fate

Gaza (Quds News Network)- An Israeli soldier from the Givati Brigade posted a photo on his social media account on Thursday, showing him with a young girl from Gaza who appeared to be alone, without her family. The photo, believed to have been taken in the southern part of the Gaza Strip, has raised serious concerns about the child’s fate, with many questioning whether she was killed, kidnapped, or why she was alone.
The soldier, identified as Ido Zahar, deleted the photo shortly after it was widely shared, further fueling suspicions about what happened to the Palestinian child and her family. The sudden removal of the image, followed by Zahar deleting his entire Instagram account, has intensified fears regarding the girl’s well-being and the possibility of her being harmed or abducted.
The photo was first published by an account on X for a young an from Gaza named Tamer. Since the start of the genocide in Gaza, the account has been focused on exposing Israel’s crimes in the strip.

Reports and testimonies from Israeli soldiers have previously documented instances of Palestinian children being kidnapped from Gaza and taken to the occupation state of Israel. These claims have persisted and continue to spark outrage and concern among Palestinians and human rights organizations.
Last January, Euro-Med Human Rights Monitor said that The Israeli army has abducted Palestinian children and transferred them out of the Gaza Strip and called on the international community to bear its responsibilities and apply pressure to Israel in order to ensure the safe return of all victims.
