Israeli Soldier Killed, 13 Injured in Beersheba Resistance Operation at McDonald’s

Occupied Palestine (Quds News Network)- An Israeli soldier was killed and 13 others were injured in a resistance operation at the central bus station in occupied Beersheba on Sunday, October 6. The executor, identified as Ahmad Saeed Al-Aqabi from Al-Hura village in the occupied Negev, carried out the attack across three locations, including a McDonald’s within the station, targeting Israeli soldiers and settlers. Witnesses reported that Al-Aqabi was wearing a bulletproof vest. Israeli forces opened fire and fatally shot the executor after reports revealed that they had fled the scene and hidden in the station’s restrooms at the start of the operation.
The operation comes amid a wave of Palestinian resistance operations that have intensified across the West Bank, Jerusalem, and inside the 1948-occupied land. In the past week alone, these operations have resulted in the deaths of seven Israelis and injuries to 22 others. The Palestinian Information Center documented 96 resistance actions between September 27 and October 3, highlighting the growing frequency of such incidents as part of the Al-Aqsa Flood operation.
This incident also coincides with the one-year anniversary of Israel’s devastating genocide in Gaza. Over the past year, Israeli forces have launched widespread attacks on the territory, resulting in the deaths of approximately 42,000 native Palestinians, most of whom were women and children, according to the Ministry of Health. Additionally, around 96,000 Palestinians have been injured, while Gaza’s health, education, and infrastructure systems have been left in ruins due to the ongoing genocide.
