Israeli Settlers Sue Al Jazeera in US Court, Accuse Network of Spreading Propaganda

Occupied Palestine (Quds News Network)- A group of Israeli settlers has filed a lawsuit against Al Jazeera in a US court, accusing the network of spreading propaganda and inciting violence, REPORTED The Jewish Chronicle. The settlers claim that Al Jazeera supported Hamas and Palestinian Islamic Jihad by broadcasting ‘misleading content’ and promoting ‘extremist views’.

The lawsuit, filed in Washington, DC, alleges that Al Jazeera’s broadcasts played a role in recruiting activists and encouraging Palestinian violence during the ongoing Israeli genocide. The plaintiffs are seeking financial compensation.

The legal action also accuses Al Jazeera of employing members of Hamas and Palestinian Islamic Jihad movements as journalists, a claim that Israeli officials had repeated before without providing evidence.

Al Jazeera has faced brutal attacks by Israel for its coverage, with the Israeli government accusing the network of biased reporting and interference in internal affairs. Israeli strikes killed and injured several reporters working for the network across Palestine.

Israel imposed a ban on Al Jazeera’s website following a raid on its office in the eastern part of occupied Jerusalem. In September 2024, Israeli forces also shut down Al Jazeera’s office in Ramallah.
