Israeli settlers severely beat old Palestinian shepherd
Jenin (QNN)- Extremist Israeli settlers severely assaulted and injured an old Palestinian shepherd today, northwest Jenin in the occupied West Bank.
The 66-year-old Palestinian shepherd was identifed as Ibrahim Hamdoun from the village of Mareeha.
The shepherd told WAFA that three settlers from the illegal Israeli settlement of Mevo Dotan severely beat him as he was grazing his stocking in his land, located near the illegal settlement.
Medical sources said that Hamdoun was admitted to the hospital due to being severely beaten, which caused him moderate injuries, bruises and bleeding.
His condition was reported to be stable.
There has been a spike in attacks by Israeli settlers against Palestinians in the occupied territories, however, investigations into them have not been carried out even though some have resulted in fatalities.
There are nearly 700,000 Israeli settlers living in 256 illegal settlements and outposts scattered across the occupied West Bank, including East Jerusalem. Israeli settlements are illegal under international law.
