Israeli settlers kick out a Palestinian family, take over their house in Jerusalem
Jerusalem (QNN) – Israeli settlers took over a Palestinian house today in the Old City in occupied Jerusalem under the protection of Israeli forces.
According to local sources, Israeli forces surrounded the house since the early morning in order to hand it over to an Israeli family.
The house belongs to the Palestinian family of Abu Asab, and it overlooks the Aqsa Mosque in the occupied city.
The family members tried to resist the Israeli forces and settlers but the clashes resulted in arresting the father and assaulting the rest of the family, who were left crying helplessly outside their house.
Israeli settlers try regularly to take over Palestinian houses, and such events are justified by Israeli courts. According to a report by the Israeli human rights NGO Peace Now: “Settler organizations, equipped with vast sums of money from anonymous sources through offshore companies, are trying to fundamentally change the character of East Jerusalem.”
