Israeli settlers hold provocative march in Jerusalem ahead of Sunday’s “Flag March”
Occupied Jerusalem (QNN)- Thousands of colonial Israeli settlers took part on Saturday evening in a provocative march at Bab Al-Amud plaza in the Old City of Jerusalem ahead of the Israeli far-right “Flag March” scheduled for Sunday.
Local sources reported that thousands of colonial settlers, guarded by Israeli forces, held a provocative march on Saturday evening as they danced, waved Israeli occupation flags and performed Talmudic rituals.
The provocative march was held as settlers passed through Jerusalem’s Bab Al-Amud Gate and marched through the main streets of the Old City all the way to the Al-Buraq Wall (the western portion of Al-Aqsa Mosque complex which is known to Jews as the “Western Wall”).
They were also chanting anti-Palestinian and anti-Muslim racist slurs, as local sources reported.

The march came on the eve of the “Flag March,” an annual rally planned by Israeli far-right settlers as part of celebrations to commemorate the so-called “reunification” of the city under Israeli rule.
The march typically brings together thousands of young, far-right Israelis, who chant anti-Palestinian slogans and wave Israeli flags as they pass through the small streets of East Jerusalem’s Old City.
Last year’s parade took place amid heightened tensions in the city, paving the way for ‘Israel’ to launch a devastating military attack on the Gaza Strip, codenamed Guardian of the Walls.
The May 2021 assault left 256 Palestinians dead and thousands injured, as well as damaging over 50,000 homes and destroying key infrastructure.
