Israeli settlers drop metal gate on a Palestinian vehicle

Salfit (QNN)- Israeli settlers yesterday night dropped a metal gate on a Palestinian-owned vehicle near Salfit city in the occupied West Bank, causing damage to the car, local sources said.
Saeed Zeidan, head of Deir Istiya town council, northwest of Salfit, said that the car incident occurred near Burqin village, west of Salfit, when settlers tied a robe to the metal gate which was set up at the entrance of Burqin by Israeli occupation forces and then pulled the gate down when the car driven by a Deir Istiya resident approached it falling on the car and damaging it.
No injuries were reported, said the town’s mayor.
There has been a spike in attacks by Israeli settlers against Palestinians in the occupied territories, however, investigations into them have not been carried out even though some have resulted in fatalities.
There are nearly 700,000 Israeli settlers living in 256 illegal settlements and outposts scattered across the occupied West Bank, including East Jerusalem. Israeli settlements are illegal under international law.
