Israeli repression units assault Palestinian prisoners after raiding Ramon prison
Israeli repression units raided sections 3 and 7 in Israel’s Ramon prison and brutally assaulted and clashed with Palestinian political detainees, the Palestinian Prisoner’s Society (PPS) said today.
The PPS said no further details are available about the situation of the detainees.
However, the group said it held the Israeli occupation government and the administration of Ramon Prison the responsible for the lives of the Palestinian detainees.
The group also urged the international human rights bodies, on the top the International Committee of the Red Cross, to intervene to stop the Israeli crackdown on the prisoners.
There are 4500 Palestinian prisoners held in Israeli jails, among them 37 women, 140 children and 45 held in administrative detention.
