Israeli repression units assault Palestinian prisoners after raiding Negev prison

Israeli repression units raided section 2 in Israel’s Negev prison and brutally assaulted and clashed with Palestinian political detainees, the Palestinian Prisoner’s Society (PPS) said on Sunday.

The PPS said no further details are available about the situation of the detainees.

However, the group said it held the Israeli occupation government and the administration of Negev Prison the responsible for the lives of the Palestinian detainees.

There are 4,850 Palestinian political prisoners held in Israeli jails, among the prisoners are 540 administrative detainees held without charge or trial, 225 child prisoners and 41 female prisoners.
