Israeli prisoners families reveal military’s admission: Airstrikes killed three prisoners in November

Occupied Palestine (Quds News Network)- The families of Israeli soldiers Ron Sherman, Nick Beiser, and Elia Toledano, who were imprisoned by the resistance, have been officially informed by the Israeli army that their sons were killed as a result of an Israeli airstrike in November 2023. The families report that the bodies were only discovered in December, despite the attack taking place a month earlier.

According to the findings presented by the Israeli army, it is ‘highly likely’ that the three prisoners died as a result of an alleged airstrike “aimed at eliminating Hamas’ northern brigade commander, Ahmad Ghandour”, on November 10, 2023. However, the exact circumstances of their deaths cannot be determined with complete certainty.

Speaking to Israel Hayom, Katya Beiser, mother of Nick Beiser, expressed frustration with the military’s handling of the situation. “They told us that Nick died as a result of an airstrike by the Air Force. They said they were killed in November, but the bodies were only found on December 15.”

Beiser described a recent meeting with representatives from both Israeli intelligence and the Air Force, where they were presented with the investigation’s findings. “They acknowledged the tragic outcome and admitted that it was caused by the IDF, but they didn’t know in real-time,” Beiser stated. “On one hand, they took responsibility, but on the other hand, there was also a denial of responsibility due to a lack of knowledge. The intelligence service takes so much pride in itself, but in this crucial moment, they didn’t know about three hostages, nor where they were firing… In all our meetings, we were told the hostages were likely being held alongside high-ranking Hamas officials. But during the airstrike, they suddenly forgot about the hostages? These are the questions we’re left with.”

Last January, the mother of Ron Sherman posted on her Facebook account, stating that it was the Israeli army that killed her son. She said that her son died due to the gas that the army introduced into a tunnel.
