Israeli Prisoner Held in Gaza Killed in Israeli Airstrike Two Days After Genocide Began, Military Says

Gaza (QNN)- Israeli prisoner Tamir Nimrodi, an Israeli soldier who was taken alive by Hamas on October 7, was killed in an Israeli airstrike in Gaza two days after the genocide began.
According to Israeli media, citing the military, Nimrodi, who was 18 at the time, was taken from the Gaza District Coordination and Liaison (DCL) base along with three others.
According to the reports, all four were “very likely” killed on October 9, 2023, in an Israeli airstrike that targeted Hamas senior official Ahmed Ghandour.
Hamas had confirmed on October 14, 2023, that Nimrodi was killed in an Israeli airstrike two days after the assault.
On Monday, Hamas concluded the release of 20 living Israeli captives as part of the ceasefire agreement which took effect on Friday. It also handed over the bodies of three dead captives, including Nimrodi.
The Qassam Brigades, Hamas’s military wing, said, “The enemy [Israel] failed to recover its prisoners through military pressure, despite its superior intelligence and surplus force. The enemy submits and recovers its prisoners through an exchange deal, as the resistance had promised from the beginning.”
Hamas had previously said the Israeli forces killed the captives held in Gaza by bombing their locations, and the “Nazi occupation government is fully responsible for repeatedly obstructing the exchange agreement.”
The families of captives have also accused Netanyahu of abandoning their sons.
