Israeli police summons nurses for interrogation over picture with hunger-striking prisoner

Occupied Palestine (QNN)- Israeli authorities on Monday summoned two nurses in Kaplan Medical Center for interrogation after they took a picture with the hunger-striking administrative detainee Miqdad Al Qawasmi.
The nurses, who are Palestinians from the 1948-occupied territories, appeared in a picture and video footage showing solidarity with Qawasmi.
Qawasmi has been on hunger strike for 83 days in protest against his administrative detention without any charges or trial.
Israeli officials and Knesset members have called for firing both nurses.
Miqdad Al Qawasmi’s condition has been described as critical. His family as well as human rights activists called for protests and campaigns in solidarity with him.
