Israeli police shoots Jordanian citizen on border
Baqoura (QNN)- Israeli forces on Wednesday shot a Jordanian citizen close to northern Lake Tiberias on the borders between Jordan and the occupation state.
Israeli Kan radio mentioned that Israeli police opened fire at a 49-year-old Jordanian citizen in the Baqoura, claiming that he was smuggling weapons to occupied Palestine.
The wounded Jordanian citizen, whose injury was described as moderate, was sent to a nearby hospital.
Meanwhile, Israeli Yediot Aharonot said fire engulfed the area after Israeli forces fired flashbang grenades.
The occupation state had withdrawn from Baqoura last November following a Jordanian decision not to renew or extend Baqoura and Ghamr annexation from the 1994 peace agreement.
