Israeli occupation forces acknowledge 8 IOF soldiers killed in clashes with Gaza resistance

Gaza (Quds News) – The Israeli Occupation Forces (IOF) officially announced today the deaths of eight officers and soldiers during battles with the Palestinian resistance in the Gaza Strip, with an additional six sustaining serious injuries. This brings the total confirmed IOF casualties since the previous day to 14.
With the announced killing of the eight soldiers, the total number of declared IOF fatalities since the commencement of the ground offensive in Gaza has reached 156, while the overall death toll within the Israeli military since the outbreak of the war on October 7 stands at 485.
Earlier reports from Israeli daily Yedioth Ahronoth suggested that approximately 5,000 IOF soldiers have been wounded since the start of the current war in Gaza. The report highlighted that rehabilitation centers are accommodating around 60 new casualties daily.
The same source mentioned that nearly two thousand soldiers have been officially recognized as having disabilities resulting from their military service. This aligns with previous reports from Haaretz, which disclosed that around 2,000 soldiers were injured in Gaza. This number continues to rise each day.
On December 10, the Israeli Occupation Forces released, for the first time, a statement detailing the number of soldiers injured since the outbreak of the war on Gaza.
However, Haaretz contested the accuracy of the IOF’s figures, pointing out that hospital data indicates a significantly higher number of casualties than what the military had disclosed during the entire period of war.
