Israeli Minister: ‘Only Solution for the Gaza Strip Is to Empty It of Gazans’
Occupied Palestine (Quds News Network)- Israeli Minister Idit Silman has openly called for the mass expulsion of native Palestinians from Gaza, describing it as the “only solution” and a “realistic” approach.
Speaking to Reshet Bet public radio on Tuesday, the Likud party minister said that Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s government is committed to “encouraging emigration.” She framed the policy as a divine opportunity, claiming, “God has sent us the U.S. administration, and it is clearly telling us it’s time to inherit the land.”
Silman also expressed her vision for Israeli settlement in Gaza. “Gush Katif will return, there’s no question about it,” she said. “It could be in single-family homes or Trump-style towers, but we will definitely go back there.”
Her comments add to a growing list of Israeli officials making genocidal statements that align with calls for ethnic cleansing in Gaza, providing evidence of genocidal intent. Over the past three months, government figures have repeatedly dehumanized Palestinians and framed Gaza’s entire population as an enemy.
Israel has waged a relentless assault on Gaza for months, killing tens of thousands and displacing millions. Despite mounting global outrage, the United States continues to provide military and diplomatic support, shielding Israel from accountability.
