The internal investigation, initiated after “classified Hamas documents” were manipulated and leaked to foreign media, reveals that Netanyahu’s office orchestrated the campaign to derail the ongoing prisoner exchange negotiations.
According to sources within Israel’s security establishment, these fabricated documents were strategically designed to portray Hamas as unwilling to cooperate in a prisoner exchange deal, thus justifying Netanyahu’s hardline stance and deliberately obstructing any progress toward a ceasefire. Reports published in European newspapers cited alleged Hamas plans to pressure the Israeli public, which closely align with Netanyahu’s own rhetoric regarding his uncompromising conditions for a deal.
