Israeli military admits 21 soldiers neutralized in fierce battles with Palestinian resistance in Khan Yunis

Gaza (Quds News Network) – The occupying Israeli military acknowledged this morning the loss of 21 soldiers to Palestinian resistance gunfire during fierce battles with the Palestinian resistance in Khan Yunis, south of the Gaza Strip, on Monday.
The spokesperson for the Israeli Occupation Forces confirmed the casualties on Tuesday morning, describing the events as a “catastrophe.”
Israeli President Yitzhak Hertzog lamented the loss, stating, “A morning too difficult to bear” after the announcement of the killing of 21 officers and soldiers.
Israeli media sources indicated the magnitude of the incident in Khan Yunis, emphasizing its severity, with over 13 rescue helicopters participating in evacuation operations.
The Israeli news outlet Walla described the day as one of the toughest in Gaza since the outbreak of the war on October 7.
Following two challenging security incidents, sources reported to Quds News Network that the Israeli occupation forces were pulling out from several fronts in Khan Yunis, repositioning themselves in previously held locations.
Meanwhile, the Al-Qassam Brigades, the military wing of Hamas, released details of a recent engagement with the invading Israeli army west of Khan Yunis.
Al-Qassam declared they have targeted and destroyed an Israeli tank with a Yassin 105 shell, thwarting Israeli attempts to retrieve the tank, ultimately obliterating it with airstrikes.
