Israeli media: Saudi Arabia canceled visit of Israeli official following unveiling of meeting with Netanyahu

Riyadh (QNN)- An Israeli newspaper revealed that Saudi Arabia canceled a visit by an Israeli official last week after a secret meeting between Netanyahu and Mohammad Bin Salman was unveiled.
The military analyst in Yediot Aharonot, Alex Fishman, said on Friday that Israeli political sources suggested that the Israeli official, whose visit has been canceled, is the director of the Mossad Yussi Cohen.
Fishman added that the cancelation of the visit came after Netanyahu bragged about meeting MBS in Saudi Arabia a few days before the assassination of the Iranian nuclear scientist Mohsen Fakhrizadeh on 27 November.
Saudi Arabia was angry that Netanyahu had “showed off” about the meeting.
Fishman said this is not the first time for Netanyahu to disclose information about secret meetings, as he has recently violated the policy of opacity, which has been followed by the occupation state since it was created.
On Thursday, former Saudi chief spy Turki al-Faisal told CNN Arabic that Netanyahu was a “liar”, in response to questions about whether the meeting in Neom had taken place.
“The [Saudi] kingdom denied this and I believe that the credibility of the kingdom must be much higher than the credibility of a person like Netanyahu, a person accused in his country of having lied to the Israeli people in several matters. So how can they believe one liar and do not believe one who was honest in all his previous publications?” Faisal said.
He also denied that Saudi Arabia was preparing to normalise ties with Israel.
