Israeli Media Reveal Israel Launched Airstrike in Gaza to Protect Abu Shabaab Militia
Gaza (Quds News Network)- Israel has carried out an airstrike in Gaza in defense of the Abu Shabab militia, known for its ties to ISIS and looting. According to reports from i24News, the Israeli military bombed Hamas fighters during a firefight with the Abu Shabaab militia late Monday night.
The incident took place in southern Gaza, near midnight. Armed clashes broke out between security forces and the Abu Shabaab thugs.
The Israeli Air Force deployed a drone to the scene. The drone monitored the battle, then launched a direct strike on four security members. Israeli sources confirmed that the airstrike was aimed solely at helping the Abu Shabaab militia.
The Abu Shabaab militia later claimed responsibility for killing members of Hamas’ internal security. The group, led by Yasser Abu Shabaab, has been responsible for theft, extortion, and collaborating with Israeli intelligence.
Over the past months, the militia has received arms, salaries, and tactical support. It includes former ISIS fighters and criminals, many of them were released from prisons after the genocide began. Israel, the Palestinian Authority, and former Fatah leader Mohammad Dahlan have all been linked to the group’s rise.
This comes amid growing chaos across the Strip, where Israel continues to target security forces on one site and support criminals. Israel has killed dozens of starved civilians at so-called aid distribution centers.
Since the start of the genocide, Israel systematically worked on creating chaos across Gaza. In addition to targeting security forces, the Israeli military targeted international organizations’ workers, including those working for the UN.
