Israeli Media Expose Gaza War as Campaign of Destruction Without Strategy

Gaza (Quds News Network)- Israeli media reports have revealed alarming insights into the true nature of the ongoing genocide in Gaza. Internal documents and interviews with Israeli commanders highlight a grim reality: the war’s objectives revolve around destruction and killing, with no clear military strategy or defined goals.

One report, published by ‘Mida’, exposed directives from high-ranking Israeli commanders calling for the complete annihilation and destruction of neighborhoods like Al-Shujaya. The goal was to erase areas visible from nearby settlements, regardless of the cost. A division commander reportedly stood with binoculars, ensuring no building was left standing, symbolizing what he referred to as a “victory image.”

The Chief of Staff, Herzi Halevi, candidly stated, “The mission is to kill as many commanders as possible, as many terrorists as possible, to destroy the infrastructure.” However, interviews with Israeli officers tell a different story, painting a picture of chaos and purposeless operations. One battalion commander remarked, “The army was creating operations for the sake of operations. There was no strategic goal.”

Forces deployed in Beit Hanoun and Jabalia were instructed to “clear and destroy,” but commanders admitted they lacked defined missions or measurable targets. “We fought, we blew up buildings, but there was no target,” said a brigade officer. Another commander complained criticizing not killing enough Palestinians, “We didn’t conquer, we didn’t cleanse. So what did we achieve?”

The repeated failure to achieve meaningful objectives led to a shift in tactics. The Israeli army turned to headhunting and body counts as a way to justify their actions. Soldiers labeled Palestinians as “terrorists” based on arbitrary criteria such as age or mere presence in targeted areas. “We often call people terrorists not because we saw them with weapons, but because they were in a place we deemed threatening,” admitted an officer.

Adding to the contradictions, senior officers criticized the transfer of humanitarian aid to Gaza, claiming it undermined their efforts. One officer stated, “The humanitarian aid completely contradicts the goal of the war. Allowing it in after the first deal was a serious blow to achieving the war’s aims.”

The revelations also underscore the Israeli military’s lack of preparedness for ground maneuvers in Gaza. Unlike their detailed intelligence on Hezbollah in Lebanon, the army entered Gaza without actionable information. “There was no intelligence on ambushes or positions,” admitted a soldier, highlighting the haphazard approach to the war.

These reports expose the devastating reality for Palestinians in Gaza. Entire neighborhoods have been razed, and civilians continue to bear the brunt of indiscriminate attacks. Meanwhile, the absence of a coherent military objective raises serious questions about the true motives behind Israel’s ongoing aggression and the destruction in Gaza.

Israeli media had pointed to Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s political motives in prolonging the genocidal war. Reports had accused Netanyahu of initiating the war to secure his political survival and prevent his government from collapsing. Further revelations disclosed that Netanyahu’s office had a dedicated team tasked solely with obstructing prisoner exchange deals. The aim was to prolong the war and maintain the genocidal campaign against Gaza’s population.
