Israeli Shoots Two Israelis in Miami, Mistakenly Believing They Were Palestinians; Wounded Call It Antisemitic

Florida (Quds News Network)- Miami Beach police arrested an Israeli man who shot two other Israelis, mistakenly believing they were Palestinians. Despite the shooter being Israeli, those, who were wounded, have called the attack an “antisemitic murder attempt.”

The shooting took place on Saturday in the 4800 block of Pine Tree Drive. Police say 27-year-old Mordechai Brafman spotted the car of the two Israelis, made a U-turn, and stopped in front of them. He then got out of his vehicle and opened fire as their car drove past.

Surveillance footage shows the victims’ car being hit 17 times, reported NBC6 News. One of them was shot in the left shoulder, while the other suffered a graze wound to the arm.

Brafman was arrested shortly after the attack. While in custody, he told detectives that he thought the two Israelis were Palestinians and “shot and killed both.”

The two men who were attacked, despite being Jewish Israelis like the shooter, have labeled the attack antisemitic. They also made inflammatory remarks, reportedly shouting, “Death to Arabs.”

Brafman faces two counts of attempted second-degree murder. Authorities are still investigating his motives.
