Israeli leaders in shock as 24 soldiers fall in Palestinian resistance operation

Tel Aviv (Quds News Network) – A wave of shock has engulfed the Israeli occupation’s leaders upon receiving news of the killing of 21 Israeli officers and soldiers by the Palestinian resistance forces in the Gaza Strip. The announcement was followed by the confirmation of three more officers killed this morning.

“This morning is a sad and tough morning,” remarked Israeli President Yitzhak Hertzog, in response to the reported deaths of 21 officers and soldiers, as reported by Israeli media.

The Israeli Minister of War, Yoav Gallant, echoed the sentiment, saying, “This morning is difficult and painful,” while the hard-right Minister of Finance in the occupying government, Bezalel Smotrich, commented on the deadly incident in Gaza, calling it “heartbreaking news this morning.”

Expressing the gravity of the situation, Israel’s ultranationalist Minister of National Security, Itamar Ben-Gvir, stated, “The heart is broken and shattered this morning” in response to the operation carried out by the Palestinian resistance in the Khan Yunis area in southern Gaza.

Similarly, the Minister of Energy in the occupying government acknowledged the severity of the situation, stating, “A very tough morning, and the loss of 21 soldiers in Gaza is an exceedingly high price.”

Adding to the chorus of condolences, the Minister of War Council, Benny Gantz, remarked, “A tough morning for the entire people of Israel with the disaster of the death of 21 soldiers.”

The Israeli military officially admitted on Tuesday morning to the death of 24 soldiers at the hands of Palestinian resistance gunfire in the central Gaza Strip over a 12-hour period.

According to Israeli military radio, the resistance fighters launched multiple RPG shells at a building that had been planted with explosives by the occupying forces for demolition later, causing it to collapse on the troops stationed inside in southern Gaza.

Hebrew media outlets reported that the incident occurred in the Khan Yunis area in southern Gaza. The targets were hit with RPGs and anti-tank missiles, as the Israeli forces had booby-trapped the buildings and placed a large quantity of mines around them, alongside a tank in the vicinity.
