Israeli gunboat infiltrates into Lebanon’s territorial waters
Beirut (QNN)- An Israeli gunboat infiltrated Lebanon’s territorial waters on the shores of Ras Al Naqoura and fired flare shells yesterday.
The Lebanese army issued a statement, in which it said that the Israeli gunboats fires flare shells over the infiltrated area. It added that the gunboats intruded 150 meters inside Lebanon’s territorial waters.
“The issue is being followed up in cooperation with the United Nations Interim Force in Lebanon”, it added.
The Israeli infiltration violates the Security Council’s resolution 1701, issued in 2006, which prohibits military activity anywhere in all of Lebanon and ended the ar between the occupation state and Lebanon.
