Israeli government spokesperson: The Litani River is considered our northern border
Occupied Palestine (Quds News Network)- The Israeli government has said that the Litani River in Lebanon is “the northern border of Israel”. “Hezbollah must stay away from the Litani River area, which is considered our northern border”, a spokesperson for the Israeli government said today threatening Lebanon.
This threat comes after Israeli Foreign Minister Yisrael Katz made a similar declaration on Sunday, stating that Israel will take direct action “to push Hezbollah beyond the Litani River.”
He further revealed that he had engaged with foreign diplomats and instructed Israeli embassies worldwide to communicate Israel’s position.
The ongoing conflict has resulted in heavy casualties in Lebanon, as well as the occupation state, with Israel vowing to create a buffer zone to protect Israeli settlers in the north.
