Israeli forces wound 49 protesters in Gaza

Gaza (QNN)- 49 protesters, including 22 children, were wounded today during Israeli repression of Gaza’s weekly protests on the separation barrier, according to the Ministry of Health.

The Ministry of Health said that “its teams have dealt with 49 injuries, including 21 by live ammunition”. 22 children were wounded during the the repression.

Local sources stated that Israeli soldiers, stationed in military towers behind the separation barrier, used live and rubber-coated metal bullets in addition to tear gas against peaceful protesters, who flocked into the area as a part of Gaza’s weekly Great Return March protests.

The Great Return March protests started in March 2018 demanding the occupation state to lift the siege on Gaza and allow thousands of Palestinian refugees, who were expelled from their homeland in 1948, to go back to their homes.

Israeli forces killed hundreds of protesters and wounded thousands ever since despite of international calls to stop targeting civilians.
