Israeli forces violently attack, arrest Palestinians in Sheikh Jarrah neighborhood

Occupied Jerusalem (QNN)- Israeli occupation forces violently attacked and beat several Palestinians on Friday in Sheikh Jarrah neighborhood in the occupied City of Jerusalem, before arresting two youths.

Local sources said the Israeli occupation forces attacked a vigil organized in solidarity with the Palestinian family of Salem in the Sheikh Jarrah, as the family is threatened to be forcibly displaced from its house by the Israeli occupation authorities by the end of this month.

The forces brutally assaulted and beat the neighborhood residents, people who stood in the vigil, and journalists who were documenting the forces’ attacks.

The forces fired sound bombs towards the Palestinians in the vigil to suppress them and arrested two youths.

The Salem family is one of hundreds of Palestinian families in the Sheikh Jarrah neighborhood who are threatened with forced displacement from their houses by the Israeli occupation authorities.

The Salem family has been living in its house for over 73 years. However, the Israeli occupation authorities have ordered the family to be displaced by the end of this month.
