Israeli forces vandalize exchange shops during a large-scale raid into Tulkarm

Tulkarm (Quds News Network) – In the early hours of today, Israeli forces stormed the city of Tulkarm in the northern West Bank, targeting several currency exchange shops, seizing their contents, and detaining their owners amid ensuing confrontations.

Local sources and witnesses reported a significant incursion of Israeli military jeeps into the city from both its western and southern axes. The occupation patrols navigated through the city streets. Ground troops and snipers were deployed on the rooftops of homes and in agricultural lands in the vicinity of Khadouri University west of the city.

Intense clashes erupted between local youth and Israeli soldiers, who reportedly fired heavy gunfire. Israeli reconnaissance drones circled low in the skies above the city and its outskirts, including nearby camps, during the offensive.

In addition to the city, Israeli forces invaded the Dhenabeh suburb east of Tulkarm, searching homes and interrogating residents. Some rooftops were transformed into sniper positions.

The occupation forces also raided Fakhr al-Din Currency Exchange in the city center and the Beit al-Maqdis Currency Exchange in the western district. The properties, owned by citizen Mohammad Amin Awad, were forcibly raided, thoroughly searched, and certain contents were confiscated.

Several individuals associated with these exchanges were arrested following home raids, the sources said.

The occupation forces extended their intrusion to the Shuweika suburb north of Tulkarm, positioning themselves in the Naalwa neighborhood. Simultaneously, another force headed to the neighboring village of Jarooshia, raiding several homes.

The home of citizen Fakhr al-Din Abu Huseib, one of the owners of Fakhr al-Din Currency Exchange in the western district, was also raided. The forces conducted a search, vandalized the property, and stole some belongings.

Furthermore, Israeli forces targeted Fakhr al-Din Currency Exchange in the town of Attil north of Tulkarm, causing extensive destruction and vandalizing its contents.
