Israeli forces tear down greenhouses in West Bank

Bethlehem (QNN) – Israeli occupation forces yesterday destroyed two greenhouses near the southern West Bank city of Bethlehem, under the pretext they were built without a permit, said Hasan Breijieh, who heads the local office for the Palestinian Authority’s Wall and Settlements Resistance Commission.

He said soldiers raided the area the greenhouses are located in known as Shoushahle, as a bulldozer proceeded to demolish them because they were built in an area that is under full Israeli military control referred to as Area C, which makes over 60 percent of the West Bank.

Breijieh said Shoushahle has been targeted by the Israeli military for a while. All roads leading to it have been blocked and its residents were not allowed to spend the night in their homes there but can stay there until five in the afternoon only.
