Israeli forces shoot, kill Palestinian near apartheid wall
Occupied West Bank (QNN)- Israeli occupation forces shot and killed a 29-year-old Palestinian man on Wednesday afternoon near the apartheid wall, west of the occupied West Bank city of Jenin, the Palestinian Health Ministry confirmed.
The Health Ministry identified the slain Palestinian as Raafat Ali Issa, a resident of the Sanour village, south of Jenin. Issa was killed after Israeli occupation soldiers shot him in the leg, near the apartheid wall, west of Jenin.
After shooting him, local sources reported, the Israeli soldiers arrested him and took him to the nearby Salem military camp before handing him over to the Red Crescent, who rushed him to a hospital in Jenin as he was in critical condition before he was pronounced dead.
Issa is the eighth Palestinian to be killed by Israeli forces since the start of November.
On November 2, 54-year-old Palestinian Habbas Abdul Hafeez Rayan, a resident of the town of Beit Duqqu, was shot dead by Israeli occupation forces near a military checkpoint at the entrance of the Beit Ur city, near the illegal settlement of Modi’in.
On November 3, Israeli occupation forces shot and killed four Palestinians, including two in Jenin and two in Jerusalem.
14-year-old Mohammad Khlouf and 28-year-old Palestinian resistance fighter Farooq Salameh were shot and killed during a military raid into the Jenin refugee camp.
20-year-old Amer Halabiyeh was shot and killed in the vicinity of Bab al-Majlis area over allegedly trying to carry out a stabbing operation against Israeli soldiers while 42-year-old Dawood Rayan was shot in the heart and killed during a military raid into the town of Beit Duqqu.
On November 5, 18-year-old Palestinian Musab Nafal, a resident of the al-Mazra’a al-Sharqiya town, was shot and killed by Israeli forces near the town of Sinjil, northeast of Ramallah in occupied West Bank.
On Wednesday morning, the same day Issa was killed, 15-year-old Mehdi Hashash, a resident of the Balata refugee camp, was shot and killed by Israeli occupation gunfire during a raid by Israeli forces and colonial settlers into Nablus’s Joseph’s Tomb.
Since the start of the year, 200 Palestinians have been killed by Israeli occupation forces, including 144 in the West Bank and the eastern part of occupied Jerusalem, 50 of them from Jenin, 52 in the Gaza Strip, and four Palestinians from the 1948-occupied Palestine, according to the Health Ministry.
