Israeli forces raid Khirbet Ibziq, demolish 3 Palestinian animal barns

Tubas (QNN)- Israeli occupation forces earlier on Tuesday raided the Khirbet Ibziq community, northeast of Tubas in the northern Jordan Valley in the occupied West Bank and demolished 3 Palestinian-owned animal barns.

Local sources said the Israeli forces raided the area and started demolishing two 120-meter Palestinian animal barns owned by Palestinian resident Mohamed al-Hroub.

The forces also demolished another 60-meter animal barn owned by Adel al-Hroub.

On August 17, the forces raided the Ibziq community and handed two families notices ordering them to demolish their structures while ordering another family to self-demolish its tent which the family takes as a shelter.

The forces told the families they will carry out the demolitions within a week if the families didn’t do so by themselves.

The forces also ordered another family to leave its home claiming they will conduct military drills on August 22, 25 and 31.

Today, the forces announced the area as a closed military area.

The community is located in Area C of the occupied West Bank, which is under full Israeli military control.

Palestinian residents in the Jordan Valley region are continuosly subjected to demolition of their homes, and seizure of their property by the Israeli occupation forced.

The 1.6 million dunum region currently accommodates around 13,000 Israeli settlers in 38 illegal settlements, and some 65,000 Palestinians scattered across 34 communities, and it includes closed military areas.
