Israeli forces make 16 detentions among Palestinians during wide raids across occupied West Bank
Occupied Palestine (QNN) – Israeli occupation forces (IOF) on Monday made 16 detentions among Palestinian citizens during multiple raids targeted the occupied West Bank.
Local sources reported that the Israeli forces raided on the city of Hebron, and detained Iyad Awawdeh, brother of the hunger striking detainee Khalil Awawdeh.
The sources added that the Israeli forces re-detained several ex-detainees including Hamas leading member Khader al-Hurub, Ismael al-Hurub, Khalil al- Kharouf, Tawfik al-Hurub, and brothers Khader, Issa, Yusuf, Mohammed Deeb al-Hurub from the city of Hebron as well.
The Israeli forces released Iyad Awawdeh and the brothers Khader, Issa, and Yusuf al-Hurub, several hours after detaining and interrogating them, the sources pointed out.
In addition, the Israeli forces detained Murshid Muhammad al-Zaqeq, along with his three sons named Muhammad, Muhannad, and Majdi all from the town of Beit Ummar and took them to an unknown destiny.
Regarding Jenin, the Israeli forces raided on the towns of Misilyah and Qabatiya and re-detained ex-detainees Salim Abu al-Rab and Amjad al-Damouni.
As to occupied Jerusalem, the Israeli forces detained Wael Sabta and Ismael Muhasen and took them for interrogation after breaking into their houses.
In the same context, the Israeli forces assaulted and detained a number of workers, including girls, in the town of Far’un in Talkarem.
The Israeli occupation forces carry out raid and detention campaigns against Palestinian citizens across the occupied West Bank on a daily basis.
According to Palestinian figures, about 4,500 Palestinians, including 32 women and 160 children, are currently languishing in Israeli detention jails.
