Israeli Forces Kill Journalist, Injure Two Others in Gaza

Gaza (Quds News Network)- Israeli forces have shot and killed Al-Aqsa TV photojournalist Mohammed Al-Tannani today in northern Gaza, marking another targeting of Palestinian journalists during the ongoing genocide. Al-Tannani was fatally shot by an Israeli sniper, while two other journalists, Tamer Lubbad and Al Jazeera cameraman Fadi Al-Wheidi, were injured by Israeli fire.

With the death of Al-Tannani, the total number of journalists killed in Gaza since the start of the Israeli offensive on October 7, 2023, has risen to 176, according to the Ministry of Health. The ongoing genocide has resulted in a devastating toll, with at least 42,010 Palestinians killed and 97,720 injured in Gaza to date.

Earlier, Gaza’s Government Media Office reported Israeli forces also detaining 36 journalists. While four have been released, 32 remain imprisoned, highlighting the systematic targeting of journalists by Israel. These attacks reflect a deliberate effort to silence independent voices covering the war.

Israeli forces have intensified their attacks on northern Gaza in recent days, specifically targeting hospitals in what is widely believed to be an attempt to depopulate ad ethnically cleanse the region.
