Israeli forces kill five Palestinians in Tulkarm airstrike; settlers injure four in Bethlehem attack

Occupied West Bank (Quds News Network)- The Palestinian Ministry of Health announced that five citizens were killed in an Israeli airstrike that targeted a home in the Nur Shams refugee camp, located near the city of Tulkarm in the northern West Bank. Eyewitnesses reported that Israeli warplanes launched the strike, resulting in the deaths of five young men and causing injuries to several others in the surrounding area.

Among the victims was Jibril Jibril, a teenage boy from Qalqilya, who had been recently released as part of a prisoner exchange deal between the resistance and Israeli authorities in November 2023. Family sources confirmed Jibril’s identity, highlighting that he was one of the young prisoners, who had gained freedom through the exchange.

Jibril was known to be a fugitive, actively pursued by Israeli forces following his release. He is the third freed prisoner from the exchange deal to be killed by Israeli forces, following the deaths of Tariq Dawood from Qalqilya and Wael Musha from Balata refugee camp near Nablus.

In a different incident, the Palestinian Red Crescent reported that its medical teams transferred four citizens, including one in critical condition, following a raid by Israeli settlers and soldiers in the Wadi Rahhal area near Bethlehem. Local reports indicate that Israeli soldiers impeded the entry of ambulances into the area, delaying medical assistance to those injured during the attack.

Witnesses from Wadi Rahhal detailed that the violence escalated after Israeli settlers attacked the village, leading to clashes between settlers and Palestinian residents. The Israeli military’s intervention, which included roadblocks and restrictions on ambulance movements, has drawn sharp criticism from Palestinian officials and human rights organizations.
