Israeli forces injure over 100 Palestinians during raid in occupied Jerusalem

Occupied Jerusalem (QNN)- Israeli occupation forces on Thursday attacked dozens of Palestinian residents during a raid of the neighborhood of Issawiya in the occupied city of Jerusalem, injuring over 100.

Local sources said Israeli forces last night raided the neighborhood of Issawiya and attacked Palestinian residents by firing rubber-coated metal bullets and tear gas canisters directly and intensively towards them.

Over 100 Palestinian residents were injured as a result: 17 with rubber-coated metal bullets, 95 suffocated with tear gas canisters, 11 sustained burns and 13 injured after being chased by the forces, two of them sustained fractures.

The forces also detained a youth after brutally assaulting him.

It’s worth noting that the Israeli occupation forces shot and killed on Wednesday a 16-year-old Palestinian child, Omar Abu Asab, from Issawiya neighborhood for allegedly attempting to stab soldiers in the Old City in Jerusalem.

The residents yesterday announced a general strike in the neighborhood in mourning for the killing of Abu Asab.
