Since the start of 2022, Israeli forces have killed 21 Palestinians

Occupied Palestine (QNN)- Earlier on Tuesday, Israeli occupation soldiers shot dead three Palestinians across occupied Palestinian territories.

In Balata Refugee Camp, Israeli soldiers shot 17-year-old Nader Haytham Rayan with several bullets in the head, chest, abdomen and hand, killing him immediately.

The occupation soldiers raided the camp to arrest a Palestinian after surrounding his house.

However, the residents confronted the soldiers.

The soldiers then opened fire at local residents, killing Rayan and injuring three others.

One of the three was critically injured as the soldiers shot him in the chest with a live bullet.

The soldiers shot the second in the leg while the third received burns in the neck and face from a concussion bomb.

They also arrested the Palestinian, Ammar Arafat.

In Qalandia refugee camp, Israeli occupation forces shot and killed 22-year-old Alaa Shaham with a live bullet in the head.

Local sources said an Israeli special forces unit raided the camp in the early morning hours.

They stood at the Palestinian houses roofs and started opening fire randomly towards the residents.

They shot 6 Palestinians in the leg with live bullets, and they were all moved to Palestine Medical Complex in Ramallah.

Shaham was the 7th and he was transferred to the hospital to get urgent medical treatment as his condition was described as critical.

Shortly later, he succumbed to his critical injuries.

The soldiers also arrested two others during the same raid.

In Rahat city, an Israeli Undercover Unit shot dead 27-year old Sanad Salem al-Harbad.

An Israeli Undercover Unit raided the Arab city of Rahat.

The occupation forces claimed the unit came under fire.

They responded by opening fire and killing Sanad, who is a father of three children, while he was standing at the roof of a house.

Israel’s using of excessive force in attacking Palestinians

Israeli occupation forces have shot and killed 21 Palestinians since the start of 2022.

Israeli forces have killed thousands of Palestinians in the OPT over the years.

Several international rights groups say Israeli forces have used excessive force in attacking and subduing Palestinians.

“This policy [opening fire] reflects deep disregard for Palestinian lives and property and enables the continued use of lethal force, crucial to enabling Israel to retain its violent control over millions of Palestinians,” said Israeli human rights group, B’Tselem.

B’Tselem said it had recorded 77 Palestinian deaths at the hands of Israeli forces in the West Bank last year.

More than half of those killed were not implicated in any attacks, it noted.

In February alone, Israeli occupation forces shot and killed six Palestinians in the occupied West Bank.
