Israeli forces detain 22 Palestinians in ongoing West Bank arrest campaign

Ramallah (Quds News Network) – In an ongoing large-scale arrest campaign in the occupied West Bank, Israeli occupation forces detained 22 Palestinians overnight Sunday-Monday, as reported by the Palestinian Prisoner’s Society (PPS) today.

The PPS confirmed that at least ten Palestinians were arrested in various areas across Ramallah province. Israeli occupation forces reportedly raided their homes, resulting in damage to personal belongings during the detentions.

In the southern region of the West Bank, military forces detained four Palestinians from Hebron, including a former prisoner and his son. Additionally, a separate military operation was conducted in Shuafat refugee camp, north of Jerusalem city, where two individuals were apprehended.

Another former prisoner from the city of Tubas found himself in Israeli detention following a military raid on his home, the sources said. Moving to the north of the West Bank, Israeli forces detained five Palestinians from different areas in Tulkarm province.

Simultaneously, undercover Israeli forces arrested a Palestinian youth after intercepting his vehicle near the town of Jaba, south of Jenin.

The ongoing Israeli aggression, which began on October 7, has led to the detention of nearly 6,540 Palestinians in the West Bank alone.

Meanwhile, Israeli occupation forces continue the controversial practice of enforced disappearance against detainees from the Gaza Strip. Human rights institutions are being denied access to information regarding the fate or locations of those detained, further intensifying concerns about their fate.
