Israeli forces detain 16 Palestinians during multiple raids across occupied West Bank
Occupied Palestine (QNN) – Israeli occupation forces on Tuesday detained 16 Palestinian citizens during a wide campaign of raids across multiple areas in the occupied West Bank.
In Bethlehem, the Israeli forces detained three ex-detainees, identified as Islamic Jihad leading member Bassam Abu Aker, in his 50s, Mustafa Qunais,30, and Waleed al-Ja’fari, 27.
In Jenin, the Israeli forces detained five people named as Thaer Abu al-Rab, Fuad al-Ashqar, Hasan Tariq, Wisam Ibrahim, and Suhaib Qubha.
In Qalqilya, the Israeli forces detained four people, named as Jamal Dawood, Muhsen Hardan, Luay Furaij and Husni al-Neis. All are in their forties.
In Tubas, the Israeli forces detained two youths named as Mohammed Tayeh and Usama al-Bariya.
In Salfit, the Israeli forces detained 20-year-old youth Mohammed Rayyan.
In Hebron, the Israeli forces detained 28-year-old youth Ahmad al-Duda.
Israeli occupation forces routinely carry out arrest raids in the West Bank. Around 40 percent of Palestinian men living in the occupied territories have been detained by Israel at some point in their lives.
According to Palestinian statistics, about 4,500 Palestinians, including 32 women and 160 children, are currently languishing in Israeli detention jails.
