Israeli forces demolish structure in Tulakrm, issued demolition orders to houses in Jerusalem

Occupied Palestine (QNN)- The Israeli army on Monday demolished a significant number of structures in the village of Ijbarah in Tulkarm and distributed evacuation and demolition orders to several houses in Issawiyyeh, Jerusalem.

Amer Yahya, one of the owners of the demolished structures, told QNN that the Israeli army had informed him a few days ago that they will demolish his structure and that he filed an appeal but the Israeli army demolished the structure today anyway.

He added that the occupation army also demolished his brother’s garage as well as a retaining wall.

“The occupation army, which grabbed the lands of our families to build a military checkpoint, is deciding now when and what to build”, he said.

“We have been on this land for hundreds of years. The occupation has no right to decide what is lawful and what is not”, he added.

Meanwhile, the Israeli army distributed evacuation and demolition orders to dozens of Palestinians in Issawiyyeh, Jerusalem.

Wadi Hilweh Information Center stated that the army hanged dozens of evacuation orders to grab dozens of dunums of the village, claiming that they are “owned by the state”.

The confiscated land will be given to Hadasah hospital and the illegal settlement of the French Hill. The owners of the lands confirmed that they have been prevented from reaching their lands.

In the same vein, crews from the Israeli municipality stormed the house of Jawad Siyam in Silwan and prevented him from renovating the garden of his house.

Israeli crews also stormed the building of Tahhan Family in Ras Al Amoud in Silwana and ordered three out of five families that have been living in the building to evacuate it in order to demolish it.

Wa’el Tahhan said the municipality ordered to demolish the building under the pretext of being built without a permit, noting that the building was built in 1990.
