Israeli forces crack down on prisoners in Gilboa prison

Occupied Palestine (QNN)- Israeli Metzada, Dror, and Yammaz repression units cracked down on section one in Gilboa prison and attacked prisoners on Friday.

The Prisoners’ Association said in a statement issued on Friday that Israeli repression units attacked the prisoners, who are estimated at nearly 90. The Israeli Prison Service (IPS) has cut off water and power in the section throughout the operation and carried out wide searches.

The statement added that detainees in Gilboa prison undergo severe assaults and attacks, which aim at imposing further control.

Gilboa prison was the scene of a legendary prison break by six detainees last September.

After the successful prison break, the IPS imposed punitive measures on all Palestinian detainees in Israeli jails.
