Israeli forces conduct mass arrest campaign in the occupied West Bank
Hebron (Quds News Network) – Israeli occupation forces carried out a series of raids, searches, and arrests across various locations in the occupied West Bank last night and early Friday morning, sparking confrontations in several areas.
In Nablus, Israeli forces stormed several towns south of the Nablus province, raided several houses, and conducted searches. At least four Palestinians were reported arrested during the raids in the province.
In a related context, Palestinian resistance fighters opened fire on the Israeli military post located on Mount Gerizim in Nablus, while Israeli forces heavily deployed in the area.
In Qalqilya, Israeli forces stormed the town of Azzun, east of Qalqilya, raided several homes, ransacked their contents, and brutally beat Mohamed Zaki Badran in his house, a local Palestinian resident, leading to his transfer to Darwish Nazzal Hospital in Qalqilya for medical treatment.
Violent clashes erupted between Israeli forces and defiant youth in the town of Azzun, where homemade explosive devices were used against the invading forces.
Resistance fighters also opened fire towards Israeli forces in the Marj area of Qalqilya and in various areas south of the city.
In Salfit, Israeli forces invaded the city and the town of Haris after midnight, heavily deploying in various neighborhoods and streets. They fired live ammunition and tear gas canisters intensively, raided numerous homes, smashed their contents, and threatened their occupants.
Israeli forces arrested a young man from his home, later releasing him. Additionally, they raided some commercial shops in the city center, confiscating surveillance camera recordings.
In Ramallah, Israeli forces arrested a Palestinian citizen from the town of Ain Arik west of Ramallah and lawyer Issa Ghayth from Beitunia following the raid and search of their homes, causing damage to their properties.
In Jericho, Israeli forces invaded the Ain al-Sultan refugee camp, brought in additional reinforcements, and besieged the Dahiyeh area within the camp. They carried out search and raid operations in several homes.
In Bethlehem, Israeli forces entered the Old City of Al-Khader town south of Bethlehem, positioned themselves in the Tel area, and fired sound and tear gas grenades.
In Hebron, Israeli forces invaded Yatta town south of Hebron, the Dhahriya area in Dura town southwards, and the Sannir area in Hebron city. They raided several homes and patrolled their vehicles in the streets of both areas.
