Israeli forces attack Palestinians in Nablus during settlers raid
Nablus (QNN)- Israeli occupation forces attacked last night Palestinian youths in Nablus in the occupied West Bank and forced them to leave the area to make room for the settler intrusion.
Last night, under heavy occupation forces protection, at least 12 buses carrying a thousand of extremist Israeli settlers raided Nablus to perform Talmudic prayers in the Joseph’s Tomb.
The forces were seen firing tear gas canisters and rubber-coated metal bullets towards the Palestinian youths who decided to confront the forces and settlers to stop their intrusion, by blocking their way to the site with burnt tires and throwing stones at them.

Israeli media reported that two soldiers were injured in the confrontations.
It was reported by Israeli media that the forces tried to convince the settlers to cancel their raid of the site due to the tensions over the Israeli forces killing of five Palestinians on Sunday near Jenin and Jerusalem.
Joseph’s Tomb is believed by Palestinians to be the burial site for the local religious figure, Sheikh Yousef Dweikat, while Israelis claim it belongs to the Biblical Patriarch Joseph.
Settlers regularly storm the Islamic site under the forces’ protection, stopping Muslims from accessing the area and stifling their movement while providing them.
