Israeli forces attack hospital in Ramallah, wounding pregnant woman and paramedic

Ramallah (QNN)- A pregnant woman and a paramedic were injured in an Israeli attack on the Palestine Medical Complex in the West Bank early this morning.

Israeli occupation forces raided the courtyards of the complex and fired tear gas canisters and rubber-coated rounds randomly at medical staff and patients, injuring a pregnant woman by a rubber-coated round in her shoulder and a paramedic in his arm.

In a press release, Al-Kaila condemned the attack, indicating that Israeli forces stormed the courtyards of the medical complex at about 4:30 AM and fired rubber bullets and tear gas canisters.

The attack also caused several cases of suffocation and panic, especially among children. An ambulance vehicle was left damaged.

She added that COVID-19 patients were present in a department within the complex, which increased the seriousness of the situation as it increased chances of infection transmissibility. Additionally, the teargas canisters posed imminent danger to the patients’ already infected lungs.

She also pointed out that this attack is the second one of its kind carried out by the IOF on hospitals within two days, as Al-Durrah Hospital in the Gaza Strip was also attacked, which resulted in the injury of dozens of sick children and their guardians, in addition to damage to the contents of the hospital.
