Qalansawe (QNN)- The Israeli police on Saturday arrested three Palestinians in Qalansawe inside the Green Line, accusing them of participating in the funeral of the martyr Mustafa Younes last Thursday.
The police claimed the young men took part in an “illegal protest” that followed the funeral. It also accused them of allegedly “agitating unrest, participating in the closure of a road, and causing disorder”.
The Israeli police have launched an arrest campaign against all Palestinians, who took part in the funeral of the 27-year-old young man, who was shot dead on Wednesday at an Israeli hospital because he wasn’t wearing a face mask.
Eight Palestinians were arrested in the Triangle area inside the occupation state on Thursday over participating in the funeral.
11 native Palestinians were arrested after beating them during the funeral, including children, causing several of them to be wounded.
After a peaceful protest that followed the funeral, three detainees were released while three were held and five others were released under supervision.
The lawyer of the arrested protesters, Ahmad Younes, told Arab 48 that “the arrests are obviously provocative and aim to ‘disciplining’ the society.”
“Such arrests will never fear Palestinians, however, they will make us stronger”, he added.
Mustafa Younes was murdered on Wednesday at the Israeli hospital of Tel Ha SHomer. Israeli forces executed Younes, who was at the hospital with his mother for a check-up, because he wasn’t putting a face mask.
