Israeli forces arrest Palestinian man at Qalandya military checkpoint
Occupied Jerusalem (QNN)- Israeli forces arrested a Palestinian young man at Qalandya military checkpoint in northern Jerusalem this morning, claiming that he tried to stab Israeli policemen.
Israeli 12 channel claimed that two Israeli policemen had minor injuries while the young man was resisting arrest.
The Israeli army closed both directions of Qalandya checkpoint for Palestinians.
In a statement issued after the incident, the Israeli police claimed that a Palestinian man in his twenties from Qalandya refugee camp in northern Jerusalem walked towards the military checkpoint, holding a knife.
Israeli soldiers chased the young man, who tried to run away, and arrested him.
The young man tried to resist his arrest before Israeli soldiers started beating him, causing him several injuries.
Local sources stated that the young man has been identified as Ahmad Wahdan, from Qalandya refugee camp in the occupied capital city.
