Jenin (QNN)- The Israeli army on the dawn of Friday arrested a Palestinian woman and her 16-year-old daughter during a night raid into the village of Ya’bad, Jenin.
Local sources said the Israeli army arrested Suhailah Muhammad Abu Baker (45 years old) and her daughter Iman Abu Baker (16 years old) during the raid.
They added that Suhailah, mother of eight, had been arrested three times before, while her 16-year-old daughter had been arrested two times before.
The father, Muhammad Younes Abu Baker (48 years old), was arrested on May 12.
The sources stated that over 15 military vehicles stormed the western neighborhood before breaking into several houses and committing vandalism.
Meanwhile, confrontations erupted between Israeli occupiers and locals, who tried to defend their houses. Israeli forces threw stun and tear gas grenades at houses and locals.
Ya’bad has been under collective punishment for the past 10 days, after a Palestinian citizen dropped a brick on Israeli soldiers to defend his house, killing one of them.
Nearly 44 citizens, including women and children, have been arrested in ongoing daily arrest campaigns in the village.
