Israeli Far-Right Ministers Urge to Withdraw from Gaza Ceasefire Talks, Call to “Conquer” Gaza

Occupied Palestine (Quds News Network)- Israeli far-right ministers have urged Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to “immediately” withdraw from the ongoing Gaza ceasefire talks, “conquer” the Palestinian territory, and forcibly displace its population.
In a statement, National Security Minister Itamar Ben-Gvir called on Netanyahu to “immediately return the delegation that went to negotiate with the Hamas murderers in Doha”.
“There is no need to negotiate with those who murder our fighters – they should be crushed to the bone, starved to death, and not suffocated with humanitarian aid that gives them oxygen,” he added.
He also called for a complete siege of Gaza, displacement of Palestinians and settlement of Israeli settlers in the enclave, claiming “these are the keys to complete victory, and not a reckless deal that will release thousands of terrorists and withdraw [the Israeli army] from territories conquered with the blood of our fighters.”
Finance Minister Bezalel Smotrich also called on Netanyahu to immediately halt aid to the Gaza Strip. “In addition, I demand…that any territory that conquered and cleansed.. not be abandoned. It is immoral and illogical, even within the framework of a hostage deal, to allow the enemy to reestablish itself in this territory.”
Their remarks came as Indirect negotiations between Israel and Hamas for a possible ceasefire in Gaza began on Sunday in Doha amid continued deadly Israeli attacks in the Strip. The planned talks in Qatar come ahead of Netanyahu’s planned visit on Monday to Washington to meet President Trump.
At least 57,338 Palestinians have been killed in Israel’s war on Gaza, which began in October 2023, while at least 135,957 others have been wounded. Israeli attacks have laid waste to Gaza, spurring a dire humanitarian crisis and left the territory on the brink of famine.
This is not the first time Ben-Gvir and Smotrich have called for halting aid, forcibly displacing residents, and occupying Gaza, even threatening to quit the cabinet if a ceasefire is approved.
